Abstract: Background: Arjuna is a Shuklagata Netra Roga classified under Raktaja Netra Vikara in Ayurveda, characterised by reddish discolouration of the Shukla Mandala. It closely correlates with Subconjunctival Haemorrhage (SCH) in contemporary ophthalmology — a condition involving bleeding between the conjunctiva and Tenon's capsule. Traumatic SCH (Abhighatajanya Arjuna) lacks specific pharmacological interventions in modern medicine, making Ayurvedic management a valuable alternative to explore. Aim: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Ayurvedic management in Abhighatajanya Arjuna and to correlate classical Samprapti with the modern pathophysiology of traumatic SCH. Case Presentation: A 23-year-old male engineering student presented with sudden-onset redness in the right eye following accidental injury from a tree branch. Slit-lamp examination revealed a bright red, sharply marginated subconjunctival haemorrhage involving one quadrant of the temporal bulbar conjunctiva. Visual acuity was 6/6 (unaided). Baseline investigations (CBC, BT, CT, RBS, BP) were within normal limits. The case was diagnosed as Abhighatajanya Arjuna. Treatment: The patient received Triphala Kv?tha (10 ml BD) and VasaGud?cy?di Ka??ya (10 ml TDS) internally; Netra Parisheka with Ya??imadhu Kv?tha and Netra Pindi with Lodhra C?r?a externally; and a single session of Jalauk?vacara?a on Day 1. Result: Daily slit-lamp examination documented progressive reduction and complete resolution of haemorrhage by Day 7. Visual acuity and all investigations remained normal throughout with no adverse effects. Conclusion: This case highlights that Ayurvedic management effectively achieved Samprapti Bhanga through Rakta Shamaka and Raktastambhaka properties of selected drugs, resolving traumatic SCH safely within 7 days. Larger controlled studies are warranted to standardise this protocol.
