Abstract: Background: Ayurveda has mentioned that Aahara, Nidra, and Brahmacharya are the three main pillars of the body. It states that a lack of Nidra leads to ‘Nidranasha’. In modern science, Nidranasha can be correlated with Insomnia. Insomnia is one of the most common sleep disorders encountered. Ayurveda offers a wide range of treatment modalities effective for such manifestations. In this case report, a patient with Nidranasha (Insomnia) was treated with Ayurvedic management using Shodhana and Shamana Chikitsa. Shodhana Nasya, Yog Basti, and Shirodhara were administered along with internal medication. The patient was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index before and after treatment. The therapy provided marked symptom relief. It addresses the root causes of stress, lifestyle, and Dosha imbalances, promoting natural, restorative sleep. Aim and Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of the Ayurvedic line of management in Nidranasha (Insomnia) through therapeutic interventions and assess their role in restoring sleep. Material and Method: A single case of Nidranasha (Insomnia) was selected and assessed based on Ayurvedic and modern parameters. The patient was treated with the Ayurvedic line of management, including Snehana, Swedana, Nasya, Yog Basti krama, Kati Basti, and Shirodhara for a defined duration. Clinical progress was monitored through subjective reporting and supportive sleep scales. Result and Conclusion: The patient reported improvement in sleep latency, duration, and quality. The frequency of nighttime awakenings decreased, mental calmness improved, and associated symptoms decreased markedly. This integrative approach highlights Ayurveda's holistic efficacy in managing insomnia beyond mere symptomatic relief.
