<abstract><title>Abstract</title>
Introduction: Sleep, regarded in Ayurveda as one of the Trayopasthambhas (fundamental pillars of health), is essential for physical, mental, and emotional balance. This study scientifically evaluates Deep Sleepzz, an Ayurvedic formulation for insomnia, integrating traditional principles with modern analytical methods to confirm its quality. Materials and Methods: The study evaluated Deep Sleepzz, an Ayurvedic formulation for insomnia, through comprehensive analyses including organoleptic, physicochemical, and phytochemical, TLC, microbial, and GC-MS assessments to ensure its quality. The findings confirmed the presence of key bioactive compounds, the absence of microbial contamination, and consistent formulation characteristics, validating Deep Sleepzz as a safe and scientifically standardised Ayurvedic sleep aid. Result: The Deep Sleepzz formulation showed consistent organoleptic and physicochemical properties, confirming its quality, stability, and uniform dosage. Phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of key bioactive constituents like flavonoids, phenols, glycosides, steroids, and alkaloids responsible for sedative and neuroprotective actions. TLC profiling displayed seven distinct Rf values representing the major active ingredients, while microbial testing confirmed the absence of contamination, ensuring product safety. GC-MS analysis identified melatonin as the major component (81.9%), along with several neuroactive and antioxidant compounds, validating its multifaceted efficacy in improving sleep quality and relaxation. Conclusion: A comprehensive evaluation of Deep Sleepzz confirmed it to be a safe, scientifically validated Ayurvedic formulation containing melatonin, 5-HTP, L-theanine, magnesium glycinate, and sleep-promoting herbs, effectively supporting relaxation and restorative sleep.
