Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic lifestyle disease with imbalanced insulin levels in patients, resulting in adverse conditions like renal failure, blindness, heart attack and stroke. Diabetic foot ulcers are the most dangerous complication characterised by a pathological triad of infection and vascular disease in the foot. The lower leg of a diabetic patient is more susceptible to infection, resulting in foot ulcers, which, when kept untreated, necessitates leg amputation. Human fibroblast collagenase is a key protein often required in small quantities for wound healing. However, they are imbalanced in diabetic foot ulcers, causing deterioration and inability to heal. Although drugs are available, higher dosages promote gastrointestinal issues with nausea, diarrhoea and stomach pain. The current study fully anticipates identifying a prominent herbal drug to treat diabetic foot ulcers using Bioinformatic tools. The study revealed that phytocompounds from Ficus carica exhibited excellent binding with the target, suggesting their well-known ability to treat diabetic foot ulcers.
