Abstract: This review presents a critical evaluation of a book entitled ‘One Hundred Useful Drugs’ by Dr. A. Lakshmipathi, published by Chaukhamba Sanskrit Pratishthan in 1973. The author of this book has provided a brief description of one hundred medicinal drugs that are widely accessible across the country and are often used in medical treatments. In just 222 pages, this succinct and educational book contains a wealth of information. The author expertly condensed the essence of Ayurvedic medicine in 100 drugs description and six appendices providing readers with a convenient and approachable reference manual. The book offers an introduction to the topic, making it a priceless tool for anybody with an interest in Ayurveda. According to the author, the purpose of this book is to assist Ayurvedic physicians in making their own medication using available natural sources so that patients can receive genuine quality and reasonably priced medication. This work aims to offer a quick evaluation of the book, emphasizing its value and relevance for academics, professionals, and readers in general.
