Abstract: Cervical spondylosis is a degenerative disorder of the intervertebral disc, with its protrusion and bony outgrowth (osteophytosis) of adjacent vertebrae, causing narrowing of intervertebral foramina and cervical canal. Compression of nerve root is indicated by neck pain that radiates into the shoulder or arms or maybe the source of headache in the posterior occipital region. Cervical spondylosis can be correlated to Manyastambha, it is explained as one among Vataja nanatmaja vikara having characteristic features of stretching pain in neck region, stiffness, constriction of intervertebral discs. In contemporary science, there is no effective management available. Ayurveda is an efficient treatment for either avarana or dhatukshya vitiate vata where Vata-Kapha dosha is predominant. Since vitiated Vata is stuck in Kaphasthna, Kapha dosage is involved in pathophysiology. Here, the diagnosed case of Manyastambha has been included for its Ayurvedic management. In this study, a female patient with complaints of stretching pain, stiffness in neck region, restriction in normal movements along with dizziness, intensity of pain aggravated on prolonged sitting and traveling for 3 years approached Kayachikitsa OPD of our institute. The treatment plan was Patra pinda sweda, Griva basti, Shirodhara, Nasya karma for 7 days followed by Yogabasti for 8 days along with shamana chikitsa Mahayograja Guggulu, Godanti bhasm, Pravala pishti, Bala-Ashwagandha Arishta, Rasnasaptak Kashaya for 1 month. With a follow-up of 1-month, the patient got approximately 75% relief in all signs and symptoms. There was a reduction in the VAS scale and improved CROM. Cervical spondylosis (Manyastambha) can be satisfactorily managed with Panchakarma and Ayurvedic therapy.
