Abstract: Intermediate uveitis is a subset of uveitis primarily affecting the vitreous, ciliary body, and peripheral retina. It accounts for approximately 4-8% of all uveitis cases, predominantly occurring in young adults. The condition can be idiopathic or associated with systemic diseases. Clinical presentation typically includes floaters, blurred vision, and mild discomfort, with ocular examination revealing vitritis and peripheral retinal vascular sheathing. In the present case study an 18 years old came to OPD of Rajiv Gandhi Post Graduate Ayurvedic College and Hospital Paprola, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India, with complaint of floaters and blurred vision b/l eyes since last 4 years. Aims and Objectives: To study the efficacy of Virechana Karma, Basti Karma, Parishek, Vidalaka and Akshitarpan in intermediate Uveitis. Initially aam pachana, snehpana of the patient is done followed by Virechana Karma, Basti Karma, and eye procedures Parishek, Vidalaka and Akshitarpan. Results: After treatment patient had moderate relief in his symptoms. Conclusion: The potential benefits of Ayurvedic interventions in managing intermediate uveitis, particularly in reducing inflammation and improving overall eye health. By combining Panchakarma with standard care, the patient experienced symptomatic relief and maintained stable vision without significant reliance on corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs. The holistic approach in Ayurveda, focusing on restoring systemic balance, appeared to play a supportive role in controlling inflammation and promoting long-term wellness.
