Abstract: Khalitya, means hair fall or hair loss. In Ayurveda it is mainly a Pitta dominant Tridoshaja Vyadhi. Hair loss is not only a physical condition but a psychological condition that adversely affects the perspective of an individual identity. Jalaukavacharana (Leech Therapy) is one of the various sorts of Raktamokshana, and it is recommended for Pitta Dushta Shonita. Durbala, Bheeru, and Param Sukumar are also exempt from this recommendation. A 35-year-old female patient complained of hair loss since it had been happening for six months. Despite taking medication for the problem for four months, she didn’t get any satisfactory improvement. The patient was treated with Jalaukavacharana with shamanaushadhi for more than 5 weeks (After precautionary investigation like CT, BT, HIV, HbsAg) - The therapy caused noticeable alterations in the rate of hair loss. The focus of the current case study is on the effectiveness of Jalaukavacharana in treating Khalitya patients, hence the data gathered for this single study suggest the marked changes in Hair fall.
