Abstract: Introduction: The most common primary headache is referred to as Vatika Shiroroga (Tension Type Headache). It is caused by the tightness of the muscles in the head and neck, with psychological variables such as stress and strain exacerbating the illness. Aggravates mostly in evening time, has obscure origin. Similarly, Vataja Shiroroga has no apparent explanation, gets worse at night and eased by pressure. Method: This is a single case study of a 26 years old female patient who came with the complaint of bilateral continuous headache for about 3-4 weeks, severe at evening time involving occipital region. Bowel movement was irregular and sleep was disturbed. Management was done by Dashmooladi siddha Ksheerdhara (pouring medicated liquid on forehead). One important Ayurvedic treatment technique that has a big impact on the body's neurological, immunological, physiologic, and psychological systems is generally called Shirodhara. Numerous investigations have been conducted to assess Shirodhara's effectiveness in treating a variety of illnesses. Dashmooladi drugs siddha with Ksheerdhara was in trial for Shirodhara procedure, which showed result in reduction of symptoms like shankhnistoda (bi-temporal headache), ghatasambheda (pain at back of neck region), akshinishkasanavat pida (Eyes pain with a sensation of eye protruding), and frequency of headache/week. Thus, Ksheerdhara with Dashmooladi drugs is effective in the management of Vataja Shiroroga (Tension Type Headache). Patient received Ksheerdhara treatment with Dashmooladi drugs for 14 days continuously for 45 mins. Result: There was reduction in symptoms and frequency of headache and remained entirely asymptomatic on observation during follow-up.
